Partners in Protection (PIP), like CTPAT for the US, is a voluntary program between the Business entities and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for the purpose of securing Canadian borders while governing trade practices.
PIP certification in Canada is designed to streamline the border crossing process for low-risk and pre-approved businesses so that they’re not delayed by timely inspections. As a mutually beneficial process, this increases a businesses’ efficiency by saving valuable time during border crossing while at the same time helping customs agents focus more on High-risk companies involved in cross-border freight movement.
Once PIP certified, members become partners with CBSA and are regarded as Trusted Traders who enjoy numerous benefits such as streamlined processing across the Canada-US Border, shorter wait times, reduced examination, etc. Furthermore, once your organization is PIP certified in Canada, it will enhance the integrity of your production, transportation, importation, and/or exportation processes.
With the long-running migration crisis, border security has been a bone of contention for the US government for years. If you’re having frequent trade security concerns, we can help you with such government-authorized courses.
