Overwork is a major problem in the trucking and commercial driver industry. Both Canada and the USA have adopted Federal Hours of Service regulations to combat this problem. These regulations specify daily driving limits and on-duty maximum hours, as well as daily off-duty requirements and shift length limits. These critical regulations are focused on preventing fatigue-related accidents by commercial vehicle drivers by limiting the amount of hours a driver can work, both in a day and per shift.

With this training course, you’ll learn how to maintain accurate records in a logbook, how to fully comply with these regulations, and also learn vehicle inspection best practices. Not only keeping yourself safe, but everyone else on the roads too.

Course Topics Includes

  • Hours of Service Regulation
  • Logbook & Record keeping requirements
  • CTPAT Gap Analysis
  • Procedure for completing logbooks
  • Enforcement and Penalties
